Tagaytay: A vacation hub for families
It was rainy season and Metro Manila area was hit by typhoon Pedring but we have booked our flight for a family vacation bound for Manila and it was the first plane ride of my niece. It must push through then, with Pedring or not. And so, we decided to spend our short family vacation in Tagaytay.
Tagaytay weather on that day was humid. It was so perfect for long walks, visits in the parks and bulalo.!
We stayed in Keni Po Rooms. The place is so basic but it caters to our needs. We wanted a hotel with a pool, cozy and accessible. Keni Po Rooms is located near Laging Saklolo Church on the way to Picnic Grove. It is so refreshing to start your tour with an early mass. So, for me this hotel is so ideal place to stay in Tagaytay. We got our room for only P1,500 with veranda, cable tv, hot & cold shower, ref, a double size bed and a free use of the pool.
We started our day with a delicious breakfast at Bag of Beans. It was a heavy meal with coffee in the garden. It was simply perfect!
After we are done with our breakfast and some picture taking we then proceed to our next destination- to Residence Inn. I’ve got a cheaper package deal thru metrodeal.com which entrance fee, zipline, cable car and Paradizoo tour are already included. I think it was a good deal indeed. The only downside was the van transfer which was supposedly also part of the package was not scheduled according to the arrivals and transfers of the guest. So, we went to Paradizoo with our own and with the directional help from the locals.
Due to scarcity of time, after Paradizoo, we then proceeded to People’s Park just to experience how it is to be in the highest part of Tagaytay. And it was awesome. With drizzle rain drops, cold breeze of the air and you got to see the beauty of Tagaytay from the top, it was indeed a place to be.
It was already 5pm and we need to catch up the bus going to Manila. Being on the road at late night was not one of our options since we have kids with us. That’s why for our last stop we then head to Tierra de Maria. It was time for us to pay tribute for the wonderful experience we have shared as a family.
It was a beautiful experienced with my family. The kids had fun on this trip.
