Davao City: my first time
25 Aug
Last August 5, 2011 was my first time to set foot in the largest city in Philippines. Though it is just 45mins plane ride from the city I live in, I didn’t got the chance to visit it first among the other islands. It was until a friend from Manila invited me to join him in his planned to explore Davao City.
The trip was well planned. Research and blog hopping are one of the medium I’ve used to be able to make-most out of the 5days and 4nights. Accompanied with a personal “coach” from a good friend who is an origin also in Davao City, it makes my trip easier and enjoyable.
As much as possible, I want my trip to be less expensive as it should be. That is why I prefer to try to ride a jeepney most of the time while I was on a city tour. But travelling outside the city is quiet far so we opted to rent a Van to tour us around on the must visit places outside Davao City. For 2 persons travelling, we can assume that the trip will be expensive but we got some good deals with the locals. I will be posting our itinerary, people to contact and detailed expenses in my other post for you to have some reference, so just keep on checking for the updates.
Davao City is one fine city. Where simple lifestyle can still be practice yet booming and competitive enough if be compared with other cities. Food is great, most specially fruits.
Hawud sa Davao!

I wonder where that sign “Land of Promise” is located? I didn’t see it when I went to Davao City early this year…
that’s inside GAP Farming. Upon entrance that’s probably the first one I’ve noticed.
Thank’s for dropping by pinoyadventurista
